What We Believe
Authenticity
(2 Cor. 1:12; 6:11)
We believe that disciples of Jesus Christ should manifest authenticity. Therefore, we are committed to building a Christ-like and loving atmosphere within the body without hypocrisy and judgment.
Small Groups
(Luke 6:12-13; Acts 2:44-47)
We believe that college/young adults need that personal attention as they seek after God. Therefore, we want to provide a small group family where they will feel like they belong and feel loved. We, at New Life, do not want to be known just as a church 'with' small groups but a church 'of' small groups.
Creativity and Relevance
(1 Cor. 9:19-23; 1 Chron. 12:32)
In today's rapidly changing world, we believe that our ministry methods are flexible, not our biblical principles. Therefore, while maintaining our principles, we will regularly evaluate and change the forms of ministry to remain relevant to our times.
Evangelism and Discipleship
(Luke 5:30-32; Matt. 18:14)
We believe that the lost matter to us since they matter to God. Therefore, we are committed to developing relationships with them and to providing services that are relevant to their needs.
Excellence in our service to God
(Col. 3:17; 1 Cor. 3:13)
We believe that our God is a God of excellence who deserves the best we have to offer. Therefore, in all our ministries and activities, we will seek to maintain the highest standards of excellence to the glory of God.
Growth
(Matt. 28:19-20)
Although numerical growth is not a sufficient goal in itself, we believe that God wants us to reach as many people as possible with the gospel message. Therefore, we will pursue methods that will facilitate numerical growth without compromising our integrity or commitment to biblical truth.
Practical Teaching of the Word
(2 Tim. 3:16-17; James 1:22-25)
We believe that the Bible is inerrant and is the inspired Word of God. We want to make sure that our teaching/preaching is relevant to the audience that is listening. Therefore, we as a church are committed to learn and apply with it says.
The Gift of Prayer
(Acts 2:42-47; John 17:6-26)
We believe that prayer is a gift of God that will cause us to depend on Him for blessings. Therefore, we are committed to becoming a praying church and seeking after God for guidance.
Teamwork
(1 Cor. 12)
We believe that God designed the church to be done as a team in order to experience the full potential of it. We believe that the spiritual gifts that each believer possesses are crucial to the growth of the ministry. Therefore, our goal at New Life is to see every believer use his or her giftedness to take the church to the next level.
Passionate Worship
(John 4:23-24)
We believe that God speaks to the heart best through the worship of Him. Therefore, we want to place a high priority on worship through the celebration of music. Therefore, we are committed to becoming a praying church and seeking after God for guidance.
